Since I live in the Northeast I don't have much experience with Hurricanes. Now that I have some friends in the Coast Guard we know several people down in NOLA and the South East US. Our Friends Anna and Bull live down in NOLA and had to evacuate because of Gustav. I must admit that it takes a strong woman to pack up her cat and two dogs and drive 13 hours to Atlanta by herself. Her husband had to evacuate but stay close to do his job after the storm was over.
I think I've been through quite a bit but every day I see these women that are stronger and stronger than myself.
I pray every day for Anna and Bull down in NOLA and all of the people that have been effected by these hurricanes in The Bahamas and up the east coast of the US. Hopefully Ike decides to give up very soon. Be safe everyone!
