Today is my second to last day at my job. I'm happy and sad and a little freaked out. It was a HUGE decision to leave my current agency but I'm happy I did. I was totally comfortable here and I have some amazing friends but it was the right decision to leave. The opportunity I will have at The New Agency is going to be amazing and I cant wait to dive in.
Good thing I will ACTUALLY dive right in. My third day at The New Agency I am presenting a media plan to the clients. They arent new clients b/c I have worked with them before but still... kinda crazy!
Tonight is my going away party. This is my second one at The Agency. When I moved to Cleveland in 2006 I got a little party (it was really a Yahoo party that we crashed and made it a two person going away party) and that one ended up at the strip club and then Chinatown for 2am food! Ummm then my parents met me in Chinatown at 2:30am and we all drove (I slept) out to Cleveland. It was a blast.
My boss just informed me that after his going away party here a couple of years ago (yes - a lot of people leave and then come back) he was too hungover to come into work the next day so he had to make up his last day! Hysterical!
Anyways - its a sad day. My office is cleaned up and everything is in boxes. I have made a lot of amazing friendships and a great network of truly smart professional people.
I have to admit. Had it not been for my Bartender Dad giving me the connection to this job I would not be where I am today. Thanks Dad!
