This is why I love my job

I feel everyday that I do some of the coolest stuff in advertising. TV is very cool but its becoming hard to really BE cool on TV. Only the beer and soda companies can really pull it off.

I saw a Kenneth Cole ad today and clicked on the banner (yes - i actually clicked! eek). It brought me to this site:



Watch the video and then watch some of the other videos of the people within the campaign. Most people dont realize that online advertising is just this - a way to extend the TV screen and sometimes in a BETTER way. Kenneth Cole did a very cool job here with this campaign called "We all Walk in Different Shoes". Brilliant! You never see clothing/shoe retailers doing things like this online with targeted banners.

Check it out! I think I made the best choice to go from TV to online advertising. Did you know online could be this cool?

Weight Watchers

Ok so two years ago I did WW for 12 weeks. I lost almost 20 pounds. I also weighed over 150 and I'm not even 5 feet tall. I went to Ohio after the WW program was over and I was able to work out with a trainer and on my own at least 4-5 days a week. I lost 8 inches around my waist and 1 1/2 inches on each leg and calf. My arms also looked amazing. Everything went downhill when I moved back to Boston/Andover a year ago. Anyways... I'm back on the WW train.

I have been doing it for 2 weeks but I havent really been focused even though I have lost 4 pounds. Starting today I am focused!!!! Hopefully in 10 weeks you guys will get a post from me that says I lost my 20 pound goal!

Let me know if you have any tips? Right now work is hard because of the many parties and a candy jar and free food lying around. Home is better but we eat out constantly so it’s not THAT much better. All I do is eat sushi and these Thai noodle soup bowls. I can’t live on that crap alone. Chocolate kills me. I NEEEEEEEDDDDDD chocolate - esp after the hellish days at The Agency lately.

I need to work out too. I know my friend Amy got into great shape doing Tae Bo and I have all her DVD's so I just need to stop being so lazy and just do it. Do you have any other tips?

So my co-worker knows someone who works at lets say a Clothing Retailer. This Clothing Retailer has an Asian company work on their clothes and the tags for the clothes. The tags are coded with various elements: Size, Color, Garment Name

This Clothing Retailer has a lovely shirt in the color Currant. The code for Current is the first two letters of the color (CU) and the last two letters (NT).

There is a picture but we are not allowed to post b/c it would give away the Clothing Retailer.

Sooo... the story goes...

Customer Service Man in India: Miss Blah Blah I dont know what the problem is!

Marketing Person in USA: Ok tell me what everyone is saying to you.

Customer Service Man in India: All the women are screaming "See You Next Tuesday!" when they cant because I am in India and they are in New Jersey! Why are they saying that Miss Blah Blah??? Why?? why???

Marketing Person in USA: (Dying laughing) Well Mr. Blah Blah.... (and you can imagine the rest)

So Tired

So today is Friday and I am so happy. I flew in from VA today where I had a client presentation at Colonial Williamburg. We were excited to get there and check it out but unfortunately January is somewhat of a dead month there. We had an interesting dinner and back home to watch LOST.

Its so nice to have some GOOD TV back on again! yay!

I didnt sleep well so its going to be an early night. Tomorrow we are off to Keene NH for a Back from Iraq Party for Gerry. Gerry is brett's kryptonite aka - he gets brett into some situations he just cant resist. Like... strip clubs and staying out so late you pass out somewhere else. Lets hope Superman can resist any of Gerry's powers this trip!

What is everyone doing for Super Bowl? I want to watch the commercials ummm i mean the Pats in the game. hehehe
